Highlights of the 2025 edition
A brief overview of the highlights foreseen for the 2025 edition of Agribex can be seen below
THEMES AT THE TRADE FAIR
Within our western society, there is already consensus: the search for and especially application of new energies must go on. Agriculture can make more than a contribution to this. An essential part of this is the production of Biogas for making both CBG and LBG, which can be used as a fuel for electricity production in our vehicles and homes. A major source of methane production is slurry, farmyard manure and waste from the processing (food) industry. It forms the final piece of a circular agricultural economy while simultaneously contributing to more sustainable agriculture with fewer N2 emissions and fewer methane emissions into the air.
Solar panels and wind turbines are also part of the solution. And once again, the countryside is being closely looked at, and agricultural companies are being approached. Agribex is a great source of information for any farmer who wishes to participate in this changing world.
While agriculture can play a role in the production of new energies to reduce emissions, on the other hand, it is itself a source of N2 and methane, and so on. Despite limited legislative progress over the past 2-3 years, a lot of new technologies are now emerging. So far, their value and applicability has not always been recognised and knowledge about them has yet to be disseminated. That is what Agribex aims to do at the PAS Technology island. Apart from the presentation of various technologies, an extensive didactic lecture programme will also be presented at this island.
In the arable sector, we are putting the spotlight on data transmission this year. From soil scans to the home computers, related task maps and fragmented treatments right through to production maps. How do these work, what are the benefits, why do we need to follow this path, etc.? And perhaps also more crucial questions like who owns the collected data? Who is allowed to use them?
A third themed island at Agribex is a traditional hit, namely Workshop Live. Each day, the Thomas More College of Applied Sciences work on a range of machinery, with the goal of inspiring young people and promoting the value of a career in Agricultural Mechanisation. And to capitalise on this, in partnership with VDAB and Forem, a job island will be set up where jobseekers and employers can meet and extracurricular courses are promoted.
PROFESSIONAL DAY - FULL OPTION
As in the previous edition, Agribex has made the Professional Day a ‘full option’ day. During this day, visitors receive a VIP welcome: free parking, extensive coffee reception, free cloakroom, free lunch, plus the chance to visit the trade fair in a calm atmosphere.
This way, you can focus all of your exhibitor attention on high-quality contact with a select audience. So, don’t forget to take this perfect opportunity to invite your most important clients!
BRUSSELS LIVESTOCK SHOW
The industry’s most important meeting place for professional livestock breeders in the Euregion.
The Brussels Livestock Show is synonymous with:
- Eye for innovation
- Animal exhibition & modern show programme
- Continuous info and demo sessions
- The best of the short chain: #WeLoveLocal
During the Professional Day, to be held on Wednesday 6 December, exhibitors can invite (first and foremost) stakeholders, as well as major clients or suppliers active in the livestock sector, to the event.
AGRIBEX GARDEN
Exhibitors from the garden sector will be combined in two separate halls that will be given appropriate gardening design elements. The restricted booth height and lack of booth walls will ensure a special openness in the hall, as well as create a great deal of visibility for all exhibitors.
For the Professional Day, we will invite all responsible parties from the municipal, technical or landscaping departments in Belgian cities and municipalities on behalf of the exhibitors.
LADIES’ DAY
During the previous edition, we highlighted the importance of women in the agricultural sector. Once again, we’d like to honour the ladies in this edition. Often less visible than the men, women continue to play an essential role in every company.
So, they will be getting all the attention they deserve on Thursday 4 December. Agribex inspires and facilitates, while the exhibitors make the show worthwhile.
